No!
No Line On The Horizon!
I've listened to the 30 seconds clips of all the songs...
I doubted for a moment if I wanted to wait for the album or hear bits of it now... It took only a couple of seconds to realise that it was impossible for me to wait any longer...
They are now taken down from the site and on YouTube, so I'm sorry for you if you have not heard them (yet)
I have experienced one disadvantage from listening to the clips:
The song No Line On The Horizon is now stuck in my head! Every time it comes back: No... No line on the horizon *drums! and things...*
I usually don't mind (at all) if there's a U2 song stuck in my head, but now I really want to know how it goes on!!!
All the songs sounded very good...
And I'm not going to try and review them :P (I'm not that crazy)

I heard the new U2 album!
Really?! Well, no at least not as you might think...
I heard it in my dreams :P
and when I said album I actually should have said the first 10 seconds, because it was no more than that...
Recap:
It was 27 February and I was racing home to hear the new album. I got there really late (around 18:00)(how on earth did I manage to need 4 hours to get home?) I went to my room, put the cd in the cd-player and pressed the play button... The song started with a heavy bass line and some drums where added after that. It reminded me a little of 'Sixty Seconds In Kingdom Come' I was really excited and it sounded very VERY great, but then my dad comes in my room and asks a silly question. I give an answer and he goes away. A few seconds later he's interrupting me again and again and again, so that's the reason why I could not hear more than the first 10 seconds...
Analysis:
I think my dream tries to tell me that the new album is going to be amazing! and that I can't wait to hear it, but I already knew that :D (who didn't? :P)

Getting On Your Boots
This could be a very short entry, because my personal experience with Getting On Boots is very small: I haven't had boots (just shoes) for a long long time... Now that we're (or just me) are (am) talking about Boots, it puts me in mind of a song called Get On Your Boots by the famous Irish band U2. Luck would have it that I'm an enormous fan of them so I could tell you a lot about it and their song...
I dreamt about it! Twice! In the first dream (13 January) I heard it in my dream and when I woke up a tried to put it into words and I described it as: Quick! Very U2ish and similar to Vertigo. I remember that I really liked it. But in the second dream I heard it again (about 2 days later) and I didn't like it any more, so I did not know what to expect after all...
Now the title, I think it is similar to I Threw A Brick Through A Window. Both are things that you can do, and yet they are not so very clear, because I Threw A Brick Through A Window is not about throwing a brick through a window, but seeing your reflection in a window and wanting to smash it. This is what Edge said about Get On Your Boots (in Hot Press)
"Women of the future
Hold the big revelations"
I've read comments on how people (U2 fans) don't like the lyrics, but I think they're great. Look at this:
"I got a submarine
You got gasoline"
If men have the submarines they wouldn't get very far if they don't have gasoline. Luckily for them the women have it (would be very unlucky if no one had it...) and so they have to work together to get the submarine working. So the submarine could also stand for the Earth (weirdest metaphor for the Earth I've ever heard, but hey! this is U2, they can do anything). So what have we learned from this?
Earth = a Submarine! :D
Ok, and that we, not only men and women (aliens are not excluded), but everyone has to work together to get our planet functioning properly :) And this are only 7 words from the whole song... XD
I now realise that I have not yet mentioned that I really like this song (you could have guessed)... It is very catchy and although it is different from the classic U2 (ATYCLB) it is still very U2ish. When I first heard it, it put me in mind of Vertigo and Xanax And Wine (not bad :P)
Maybe I'll post ((my thoughts on) the video)) in three days...
And last but not least, in case you have momentarily forgotten it and need a reminder... Only 1 month more to go!!! (Well if you live here, it could also be 3 or 4 days later (poor you))

"It's based around the idea that men have fucked things up so badly, politically, economically and socially that it's really time we handed things over to women. We had our doubts when we saw a rough cut – but the finished video is brilliant. He's [director Alex Courtes] really nailed it."

More Hearts
As you may remember I was going to post some stats from my Hearts games online soon and Here I Am :P
Rules:
When someone wins they get one point and if you lose you lose one point and if you do not win or lose you get no points at all! The one who loses gets replaced by the one waiting and when I lose I ask a rematch
I have played ten games, but U2 less, Larry have played 9 and Adam, Bono and Edge 7
This are the results:
Me: 0 (2W 2L)
Adam: -3 (3L)
Bono: -2 (1W 3L)
Edge: 1 (3W 2L)
Larry: 4 (4W)
As you can see Larry is the biggest winner and Adam has not (yet) won any games.
Average scores:
Me: 68
Adam: 89
Bono: 82
Edge: 66
Larry: 39
Larry has won with the lowest score: 6
Bono lost with the biggest score: 110
This reminds me to keep track from now on of how many turns each game has (if you understand what I mean)
Another thing that I have keeped track of is where everyone sits. I always thought (before I was collecting this stats) that Edge was always sitting in front of me and well, here are the stats of that
Adam: 4 Left, 2 Middle, 1 Right
Bono: 5 Left, 2 Middle
Edge; 1 Left, 6 Middle
Larry: 9 Right
You will get more stats when I have played more games or something interesting has happenend :)

I doubt it...
But what do I doubt?
Not much really, I have no doubts on U2 whatsoever (always wanted to use that word :P)
So why have I got this title for my blog...
It sounds good, but I think I shall change it soon to something more U2 related. Probably not U2 is de best (the username I often use), but something else...
I'll let you know... *pang*
Not funny?... well then you have obviously not seen The Killer Joke from Monty Python!

Two Hearts Beat As One
Phew! I can finally write a new post! I wanted to write earlier, but everytime Blogger took too long to react... and I have been fairly busy with school, so maybe it is good that Blogger did not react so that I could learn Chemistry.
In the last post I wrote that I wanted to finish reading LOTR and I can now say that I have finished The Fellowship of the Ring and am now in the third chapter of The Two Towers :)
And now for something completely different: U2 ;D
You might think I am a little weird (haha only a tiny little bit... *pointing with her fingers to show how tiny*) when you learn that I play Hearts against Bono, Edge, Larry and Adam on the computer :D You can only play against three others, so the one who loses is replaced with the other member (when I lose, I ask for a rematch :P). I have done this for some months and I got the feeling that Edge was always seated in front of me and won the most games. So about a week ago I decided to keep the stats from the games.
I have now played about 6 games and I was right until now about Edge being always seated in front of me :)
More stats are to follow ;)
I can't resist not two think of Two Hearts Beat As One when I talk/think of playing Hearts, so here is the video:
I have been there! :)
